Arita International Ceramics Competition – Application Guidelines

 Application Guidelines

At the ceramic competition, there are 2 divisions set up: “Art Crafts and Objects Division” and “Industrial Ceramic Arts Division”.

Art Crafts and Objects Division

Annually, the selected winning works that have passed the examination are exhibited at the Saga Prefectural Kyushu Ceramic Museum. Out of the selected works, the winning works for each prize will be chosen. The value towards art works such as objects or tea sets becomes the criteria.

 Industrial Ceramic Arts Division

It is planned that each entry work that has been applied for the competition will be exhibited. Up until now, the exhibition venue was located at the Arita Chamber of Commerce and Industry, but this time, the venue will be moving to the “Saga Prefecture Ceramic Manufacturers Cooperative”. When sending entry works, please make sure to send them to the correct delivery location.

Also, this division is calling for works that can be sold. Therefore, we kindly ask you to correspond if additional orders arise. The exhibition period will be held at the same time as the Arita Ceramics Fair is being carried out and the organizer will be doing the sales procedures. Even in cases it might be difficult to open a store during the Arita Ceramics Fair, it will be possible to sell your entry works.

For the details, please check the application guidelines as well as the application form.
